Concierge and Security Assistant
Location & Working PatternNewstead House, Derby • 30 hours per week, part time • Monday to Thursday, 2pm-10pm
Salary & Contract£25,673.54 per annum (pro rata) • Permanent
About the roleAs a Concierge and Security Assistant you will work across a defined geographical area delivering a high quality service to Riverside customers. You will act as an initial point of reference on the phone or in a Reception area as required, implementing night security systems and ensuring the overall safety and security of the scheme.
Responsibilities- Act as an initial point of reference on the phone or in a Reception area as required.
- Use company intranet, e mail and other basic correspondence where appropriate and necessary.
- Implement night security systems, ensuring overall safety and security of the scheme.
- Respond to faults as discovered and report incidents and anti social behaviour.
- Monitor access to schemes and visitors and carry out domestic tasks (cleaning communal areas) to a high standard.
- Effective recording of information and reporting repairs to maintenance contractors by using appropriate systems.
- Advises management promptly of any signs of problems or concerns about a client and promote a high level of client involvement, consultation and communication.
- Ensure culture and diversity issues for the clients are considered at all times, and report any forms of discrimination.
- Work within a multi disciplinary team of housing and support staff, meeting the requirements of a rota system.
- Experience of working in a customer focused environment.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and willingness to learn specific IT systems used within Riverside; complete relevant IT training where required.
- Experience of providing direct care to a diverse group of customers (desirable).

Person SpecificationEssential
- Experience of working in a customer focused environment.
