Teacher of Computing Apprenticeship

Training bursary: £29,000 tax free, paid over 10 months

Qualified salary: £32,916 to £40,317 depending on location

Qualifications: PGCE with QTS and 60 Master's credits

Location: Swindon

Start date: September 2026

Check Your Eligibility - Essential Criteria

  • Do you have, or expect to have by summer 2026, an Honours Degree (2:2 or above) in Computing or a closely related subject such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Cyber Security or Data Science?
  • Do you have an A Level in Computing, ICT or a closely related subject, or equivalent?
  • Do you have GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 (C) or above, or equivalent overseas qualifications?
  • Do you have the indefinite right to work full time in the UK? No temporary visas of any kind permitted.
  • Ideally, you will have experience of tutoring, teaching, mentoring or supporting young people in an educational setting.
