The Role
An Ofsted-rated Good secondary school in Solihull is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Computer Science Teacher to join their department from September 2026 on a full-time, long-term supply basis.
The successful candidate will teach Computer Science and ICT across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons that develop students' understanding of programming, computational thinking, cyber security, data representation, computer systems, and digital technologies. You will support students in building both theoretical knowledge and practical ICT skills while preparing them for success in their GCSE qualifications.
As a key member of the department, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons, assessing student progress, and creating an engaging learning environment where students are encouraged to think critically, solve problems, and develop confidence with technology. You will maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement while contributing to the wider success of the faculty.

The Candidate
The successful candidate will:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification; ECTs are welcome to apply
• Have experience teaching Computer Science and/or ICT at secondary level
• Be confident delivering lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Have a sound understanding of current Computer Science and ICT curricula
• Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
• Be committed to supporting student achievement and progress
• Have a passion for technology and preparing young people for an increasingly digital world
