Computer Science Teacher

A large secondary school based in Ealing is looking for a Computer Science Teacher. The position is full time, with part time options, on a long term contract until at least July 2027. Working hours are 8:30am to 3:30pm. Salary will match Inner London MPS/UPS. The school has available parking spaces.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and inspiring Computer Science lessons, enabling students to develop their understanding of programming, computational thinking, and digital technologies while applying their knowledge to real world contexts.
• Support students in building confidence with coding, algorithms, data representation, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies through practical and interactive learning experiences.
• Encourage curiosity and problem solving by fostering a passion for technology and equipping students with the skills needed for further education and future careers.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where every student is challenged to achieve their full potential.
• Monitor and assess student progress effectively, providing constructive feedback that supports continuous academic development.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the continued success and development of the Computing department.
• Uphold high expectations for behaviour, attendance, and achievement in line with the school's values.
• Embrace the ethos of the school, contributing to a welcoming and ambitious learning community where all students are encouraged to succeed.

Qualifications and Person Specification

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A relevant degree.
• Excellent subject knowledge with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Approachable, enthusiastic, and committed to high standards of teaching and learning.
