Rate: £27.21ph via an Umbrella Company (Inside IR35) or £20.35ph PAYE

Job Description:

This role involves component design and release for suspension mechanical and hydraulic components. The successful candidate will work with multiple suppliers to develop components from concept to launch.

Duties:

• Collate and agree requirements with internal stakeholders and negotiate design requirements with suppliers.
• Coordinate development activities to finalize product specifications.
• Work with Procurement to manage supplier selection processes.
• Manage suppliers to deliver quality products on time, within budget, and meeting attribute targets.
• Deliver Gateway requirements within the client's PCDS process for owned components.

Skills: Essential:

• Experience working with automotive suppliers for mechanical and hydraulic components.
• Experience in component development and design verification planning and management.
• Knowledge of the client's on-cycle product and program delivery processes.
• Excellent communication skills and a team player.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of hydraulics principles and underlying physics.
• Experience using Matlab for data analysis.
• Experience with quality tools such as DFMEA.
