A well-established international bank with a London branch is seeking a Compliance Manager to take ownership of its Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP). This role sits within a small, high-performing regulatory compliance team and reports to the Deputy Head of Compliance.

The successful candidate will play a central role in delivering monitoring activity, liaising with key stakeholders, and supporting broader regulatory initiatives. This is an opportunity to shape and elevate the second line within a bank that has invested heavily in improving its compliance and control environment in recent years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor adherence to UK regulatory requirements across business lines

  • Liaise with key stakeholders, including risk, legal, audit, and operations

  • Contribute to compliance training, advisory, and policy review activity

  • Support regulatory engagement and audit preparation where needed

  • Promote a strong culture of compliance across the business

What We're Looking For:
  • 3+ years' experience in regulatory compliance, with a strong focus on compliance monitoring

  • Experience in designing or owning a CMP is essential

  • Familiarity with UK banking regulation and governance expectations (FCA/PRA)

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with senior stakeholders

  • Comfortable working in a lean team and taking initiative

  • Experience in both retail and corporate banking is beneficial but not essential

The Organisation Offers:
  • A long-established UK branch of a global banking group

  • A collaborative, stable environment with low staff turnover

  • Strong post-remediation regulatory standing

  • Hybrid working model (3:2 split)

  • Clear opportunity to own and influence a key function within compliance

  • Supportive leadership and structured career development
