Protocol Education is looking for a full-time Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND school in Gateshead. The school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment for pupils with complex learning needs, Autism, sensory processing needs and communication difficulties.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people both academically and personally, helping them develop confidence, independence and essential life skills.

• Providing one-to-one and small-group support
• Helping pupils access lessons and activities
• Supporting communication and social interaction
• Assisting with personal care when needed
• Encouraging independence and self-help skills
• Working closely with teachers and specialist staff
• Supporting sensory activities and engagement
• Developing trusting relationships with pupils

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
