Community Nurse ( 12 months Fixed Term Contract )

Base Location: South Dublin & North Kildare. This is an on the road type of position, travelling to the wider Leinster area. The role requires 39 hours per week, Monday to Sunday - 3 long shifts per week, over a 12 month fixed term contract, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent based on performance and business needs.
With a genuine passion for improving patient care, you will be an enthusiastic and experienced registered nurse. You will work as part of the triage team, assessing referrals in a timely manner and sign posting to other teams and services to deliver care needs. Your energy and drive will be rewarded with the support of a dedicated team that creates a warm and progressive environment for outstanding patient care.
Responsibilities- Proficient cannulation and phlebotomy - essential.
- Administration/education of sub cutaneous therapies.
- IV administration therapies in home settings.
- Maintain full compliance with company policy and procedures.
- Completion of electronic nursing records, ensuring relevant information is recorded in a timely and accurate manner.
- Report details of adverse events, product complaints and/or clinical incidents as per company policy.
- Basic IT/computer skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to develop relationships with new contacts.
- Displays flexibility and adaptability to change.
- Works effectively both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating sound judgement and good time management skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically.
- Experience within the pharmaceutical industry or a similar discipline is desirable, but not essential.
- An Bord Altranais nursing registration.
- Minimum of 5 years post registration experience in an acute hospital or community setting.
- Proficient in cannulation & phlebotomy.
- Must have a keen interest in community nursing.
- Full clean driver's licence.
- Willingness to travel domestically.
- Basic IT/computer skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly detail oriented with excellent time management skills.
- Flexibility to work independently and as part of a team.
- Calm, reassuring and professional manner.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to interact positively with all relevant personnel.
- Highly organised and efficient with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
- Ability to meet stringent deadlines.
- Flexibility to adapt to shifting team priorities.
