Job Overview

Community Housing Assistant (26898). Earn £13.45 per hour, salary £26,300 per annum, and great benefits including a Health Cash Plan.

Permanent, full time (37.5 hrs per week), Gateshead.

What you'll do

• Be visible and proactive on our estates to build strong links with our communities.
• Support housing managers with patches to improve neighbourhoods.
• Handle tasks such as managing voids, liaising with local authorities, carrying out estate inspections and meeting contractors on site.
• Complete and record routine safety checks in buildings and communities.
• Keep admin up to date, including records, ordering and arranging payments for works.

You have

• A positive, can do attitude, organised and takes initiative.
• Real passion for delivering excellent customer service and genuine desire to help customers.
• Confidence working collaboratively with colleagues and external partners.
• Knowledge of housing management and housing law; universal credit is a bonus, not a must.
• Ability to use technology to navigate our systems and update customer records.
• Appreciation that this role involves spending much time lone working in local estates.

You'll work as a Community Housing Assistant in a hybrid role, spending at least two days in the office, one day working from home, and two days on patch in Gateshead.

We mainly work Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. The great news is that you'll be able to shape your own diary.

Requirements: ability to drive and have access to your own vehicle insured for business purposes; Standard DBS check (we pay for it).
