Community Engagement Officer (Nature Towns and Cities) - part-time

There is currently one part-time, fixed term contract vacancy until 31 July 2028, subject to review.

This post is funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund as part of Nature Towns and Cities Programme. This is a partnership initiative between Natural England, The National Trust and The National Lottery Heritage Fund which brings together organisations from across the UK to improve the quality of and access to urban green spaces in towns and cities.

NTC Belfast: Breaking through Barriers to Connect People and Nature Belfast City Council in partnership with Ulster Wildlife will co-design a blueprint for nature recovery across the city and its surrounding areas, including the Lagan Valley Regional Park and the Belfast Hills.

Please note, other permanent, temporary, fixed term, full-time, part-time and job share posts may be filled from reserve lists from the above recruitment campaign as indicated in the advertised terms and conditions for each post.

As young people (people under the age of 35), people with a disability and people from minority ethnic communities are currently under-represented in Belfast City Council across all job groups, applications from these groups would be particularly welcome.
