Community CAMHS Team Lead

We are recruiting for a Community CAMHS Team Lead to join our multidisciplinary Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CCAMHS) on the Isle of Wight.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our CAMHS Team. You will be joining a strong and supportive group of professionals who will be your peers, inspiring colleagues. You will play a crucial role in providing and being responsible for ensuring the provision of safe services for all people using the Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.

The post holder will support the Children and Young People Services Cluster and Clinical Lead to ensure the delivery of a pathway for people using services that meet all quality, financial and operational performance targets and ensure that these are monitored and tracked effectively.

The post holder will be expected to work in line with the Trust values and behave in a manner that facilitates the development of autonomous teams and individuals that are empowered, engaged and committed to continually delivering excellent care with compassion.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will be working alongside young people and their families to deliver outstanding care and help promote independence and dignity, positively enhancing the lives of individuals in our care. You will be expected to work flexibly within the Child and Adolescent pathway to ensure the safe delivery of services and ensure the service complies with both local and national best practice and guidelines, including but not limited to NICE. The Team Lead will be responsible for recruitment and retention of personnel within the team and for developing, coordinating, and implementing processes for managerial supervision, clinical supervision, case load management and staff annual appraisals as appropriate.

Qualifications
  • Professional health or social care qualification at degree level or equivalent (e.g. Nursing, OT, Social Work) and current registration with the relevant professional body.
  • Qualification appropriate to the delivery of the Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service or extensive experience in Mental Health /Childrens Services.
  • Awareness and working knowledge of policy developments within mental health & children's services.
  • Knowledge of the Children Act and appropriate National Service Frameworks.
  • Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.
