Job Description
Within the Barcelona School of Economics, the Communications Specialist is responsible for the development and execution of the communications & content strategy designed to generate maximum awareness and reputation for their product vertical.
What you will be doing:
- Be an expert of their product vertical offer (product portfolio, services included, USPs) and target (sociodemographics, needs, expectations, behaviours, interests, media consumption, etc); at total level and by program. Run necessary research in conjunction with internal teams to obtain relevant information in that sense.
- Plan and organise all communications activities designed to ensure maximum visibility of their product vertical: Social media planning and content production.
- Production of blog posts (taking SEO needs into account), press articles, program brochures.
- Development of video materials: video testimonials (students, professors, partners), video presentations. Production of field marketing materials (posters, roll-ups) and merchandising for students.
- Attend all relevant activities organized for their product vertical and ensure maximum coverage.
- Ensure that all communications and marketing materials align with brand standards.
- Liaise and coordinate their work with all relevant internal and external partners.
- Produce and manage all contents related to their product vertical on the website , in coordination with internal teams. Define which public and/or private organizations BSE should partner with to promote their product vertical, for what type of collaboration (awards, white papers, conferences, industry reports) and close relevant agreements. Close partnerships with influencers and ambassadors.
- Define which conferences & fairs BSE should attend and/or host to promote their product vertical.
- Control their product vertical's communications and content performance :
- Define and monitor KPIs through adequate reporting on a daily / weekly / monthly / yearly basis, as needed. Liaise with internal and external collaborators to understand performance and take corrective actions where needed. Share relevant reports to stakeholders (Management, etc).
- Participate in yearly forecast.
- Control competition 's communications & content strategy and keep up-to-date with latest communications & content trends & platforms ; make recommendations for BSE improvements.
What are we looking for:
- Master's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations or similar.
- Minimum 5 years experience related to the position. Higher Education preferred.
- Excellent level of English (native preferred).
- Familiar with best digital marketing practices (i.e. SEO, SEM, Social Media).
- Skills in design (Adobe suite or otherwise) and video-editing will be valuable.
- Feels comfortable managing WordPress environments.
- Familiarity with Google Suite (Analytics, Looker Studio), Slack, Business Intelligence tools (Tableau or PowerBI).
