Job Description

COMMUNICATIONS ADVISER (DIGITAL CONTENT ADVISER)

Our client, a Major Oil and Gas Operator is seeking an experienced Digital Content Adviser. This is a 6 month PAYE contract role with a hybrid working system in place.

The primary focus will be on aligning pages to the new theme and design, improving usability, creating and managing engaging content, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver high-quality digital communications. The role will be part of the Corporate Communications team based in London and work closely with the communications teams located in business units across the world.

Critical Responsibilities:

Ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation, and client HSEQ procedures

Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence Level:

Provide day-to-day support with the management of content across digital channels and platforms.

Edit, rewrite and optimise intranet content for clarity, accessibility, and engagement.

Support the redesign of intranet content, ensuring alignment with brand and editorial guidelines.

Work with internal stakeholders on the creation and launch of new sites and sections in the intranet.

Assist with the creation and rollout of digital guides and documentation.

Monitor digital content and channel performance and provide insights to inform future improvements (desirable).

Stay aware of digital trends and propose new content opportunities where appropriate.

Critical Skills, Qualifications Experience, etc.:

Relevant degree and/or qualification.

Excellent writer, with proven experience drafting content for digital (such as web or intranet pages, social media posts and news articles)

Strong background in editing digital content for internal and/or external channels. Preferably in large global listed companies.

Experience with SharePoint and content management systems is essential. Previous experience of working with corporate intranets is a plus.

Ability to produce error-free, search-friendly, accessible and brand-aligned digital content.

Understanding of tracking, reporting and analysing content performance and setting KPIs (desirable).

Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills; comfortable conveying communications requirements to designers, technical teams and stakeholders.

Highly organised and able to prioritise work effectively in a busy environment.

Eye for detail and accuracy.

Flexible and adaptable to changing briefs, deadlines and priorities.

Strong time management and ability to deliver to tight timelines.

Able to interpret stakeholder needs and maintain positive working relationships.
