Grade: H scp27 £38,220 to scp31 £41,771
Contract: Permanent 37hrs per week

Bolton Council's Commissioning Team plays a key role in meeting our departmental objectives of being fair, equitable and outcomes focused, enabling the people of Bolton to live well in their own home and community.

We collaborate with partners and providers to commission services that help people achieve their full potential and obtain the outcomes they want.

In this varied and interesting role you will be responsible for the design, planning, procurement and monitoring of social care services, focusing specifically on commissioning care home services within the Age Well team.

Responsibilities
  • Lead projects, co produce and develop strategies.
  • Monitor quality standards and drive innovation to meet departmental objectives.
Qualifications
  • Commissioning experience and ability to work independently.
  • Strong written skills - report writing and strategy development are key.
  • Independent research and analytical ability.
  • Excellent planning, prioritisation and time management skills.
  • Competent with IT and strong communication skills.
  • Understanding of older people's social care is an advantage.
