Commissioning Engineer

Job Description

Our client is a prominent environmental company that offers a variety of HVAC and water treatment services across the UK. They are seeking an experienced and hardworking Commissioning Engineer based in the Croydon area. The successful candidate will have experience carrying out validations and balancing air and water systems on a variety of contract types with experience working on hospital sites. Applications from Basingstoke, Reading, Watford, Dartford and surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & experience

• Experience inspecting and balancing air and water systems.
• Experience carrying out validations on air and water systems.
• Previous experience working on critical ventilation systems.
• Proven ability to analyse schematic drawings and survey reports to commission system correctly.
• Good background in water treatment, chemicals, technical and maintenance.
• Fully conversant in relevant health and safety and compliance legislation, specifically HTM 0301 guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Competent in using Microsoft Office.
• Good working knowledge of the water industry.
• Experience working in a water treatment commissioning role within the industry essential.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out commissioning duties on air and water systems, including balancing, inspection, and validations.
• Calibrating equipment to accurately balance water systems.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant Health & Safety legislation and company standards.
• Carry out service work strictly in keeping with client's specifications.
• Conduct training of staff when required.
• Inspecting project installs when required.
• Produce reports and prepare quotations.
• Undertaking some water treatment duties to suit business needs.
• Maintaining a professional working relationship with the company's clients.
