The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. As a key part of our culinary operation, you will assist the Sous Chef in food preparation, ensuring the highest quality dishes are consistently produced. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your culinary skills in a professional and fast paced kitchen environment. You will assist the Sous Chef with food preparation to specification, help source necessary ingredients and small equipment items, minimise wastage, and maintain a clean and sanitary workstation. You will also report to the Head Chef, participate in departmental meetings, and perform any tasks assigned. During busy periods you will assist in communication, training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience & Skills Required
  • At least 18 years of age
  • GCSE qualification and/or Level 1 and 2 Food Safety Awards
  • Previous hospitality industry cooking experience preferred
Schedule
  • 7 day a week business, between 0600 and 2300
  • Shift patterns will vary as per business requirements and cover all opening hours, including weekends and bank holidays
  • Evening availability for functions until 0200
