Commerical Manager

Our client, a leading infrastructure contractor within the water sector, is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to support a major clean water pipeline project in Romsey, Southampton. This contract role offers the opportunity to lead the commercial function on a high-profile AMP programme with long-term project activity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the commercial function across the clean water pipeline project
• Manage NEC Option C contract administration and compliance
• Oversee cost-value reconciliations, forecasting and commercial reporting
• Manage target costs, compensation events and change control processes
• Identify, assess and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities
• Work closely with project teams, supply chain partners and key stakeholders
• Provide commercial leadership to support the successful delivery of the project

Job Requirements:

• Experience as a Commercial Manager within water, utilities, civil engineering or major infrastructure projects
• Strong quantity surveying experience and commercial management expertise
• Comprehensive knowledge of NEC contracts, particularly NEC Option C
• Experience managing target cost contracts, cost-value reconciliations and project forecasting
• Understanding of compensation events, change control and commercial risk management
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills
• Water, utilities or pipeline project experience would be highly advantageous
