About the Role:
We're looking for a driven and strategic Commercial Manager to lead the commercial performance of our Energy Outbound business and champion efficiency initiatives across Bionic. In this pivotal role, you'll help shape the growth and long-term sustainability of our Energy Outbound operations, playing a key role in our shift toward a more streamlined and high-performing sales function.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in cross-functional stakeholder management and a proven ability to deliver commercial initiatives from concept through to real, measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Energy Outbound Performance
- Track and own the gross profit performance of our Energy Outbound business, co-ordinating the relevant stakeholders to drive uplifts of key metrics
- Forecast our performance, identifying opportunities and risks to maximise or mitigate against
- Own the communication and reporting up of our trade performance and activities in key sessions (e.g. weekly trade meetings, monthly Energy board meetings)
- Provide guardrails and support for key stakeholders including Business Excellence and Sales to hit the relevant targets across key metrics
- Co-ordinate cross-functionally to ensure all relevant stakeholders are delivering the key activity needed to hit budget targets
Commercial Management
- Business casing and modelling of commercial scenarios based on new initiatives, opportunities and capabilities
- Act as the commercial lead for key business initiatives that will drive our short to long term performance
- Profitability management across different campaigns (e.g. traditional Outbound and other CPL and CPA tactical partners)
- Budget forecasting and setting for the area, working with the Energy Director and Finance teams to develop a plan that delivers on our wider business goals
Efficiency
- Support on data-driven decision making for headcount and profitability initiatives
- Oversee key 'enablers' for efficiency and productivity taking accountability for ensuring they deliver commercial benefits
- Act as commercial lead for new tech capabilities and projects that will enhance our ability to serve customers efficiently to maximise customer outcomes
About You:
- At least 5 years of commercial experience, preferably within the sectors of energy or B2B services
- Demonstrated history of consistently delivering commercial results, showcasing your ability to impact business outcomes significantly
- Extensive experience in cross-functional stakeholder management, with a proven ability to foster collaboration and drive meaningful progress on critical initiatives
- Exceptional communication skills, enabling you to effectively convey ideas, updates, and strategies at all organisational levels
- Outstanding organisational skills, allowing for the management of project plans, while prioritising multiple initiatives across the team to achieve overarching objectives.
- Demonstrated resilience to persist in driving performance, maintaining a positive and proactive attitude in the face of challenges, setbacks, or shifting priorities

- 2nd stage in-person interview, with a presentation
Good to know:
This role is a hybrid position (at least 2 days in our London office) but will have a requirement to visit our Luton office approx. twice a month or when required.
