Commercial Manager

Our client, an industry-leading turnkey provider in the Data Center sector, is actively seeking a talented and experienced Commercial Manager to lead a groundbreaking 100MW Data Center scheme in London. This project is for a global tech company and represents a significant milestone in the advancement of data infrastructure. As a Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success and financial efficiency of this high-profile project.

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial Leadership: Oversee and lead all commercial aspects of the 100MW Data Center project.
• Budget Management: Manage and control project budgets to ensure financial objectives are met.
• Contract Negotiations: Conduct negotiations with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders to secure favorable terms.
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks to safeguard project interests.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, fostering strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Project Success Optimization: Provide strategic guidance on procurement and vendor selection to optimize project outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven Experience: Demonstrated success as a Commercial Manager, preferably within the Data Center sector.
• Financial Acumen: Strong proficiency in budget management and financial analysis.
• Contract Management: Exceptional skills in negotiation and contract management.
• Leadership Capabilities: Ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams towards achieving project goals.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal skills.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Construction Management).
• Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years in a similar role within the construction or data center industry.
• Global Tech Experience: Familiarity with large-scale projects for global tech companies is highly desirable.

• Competitive salary: £100,000 - £140,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
