Together we bring centuries of experience in stonemasonry, stonework repairs, roofing, leadwork and carpentry for sandstone facades, slate roofs, lead detailing and other age-old materials. All services are delivered in-house by our expert team, assuring our clients of the people and processes being followed on site. We combine traditional craftmanship with modern project management.

Job Overview
The Commercial Manager at EBS construction will be responsible for overseeing the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects from pre-construction through to completion. The role ensures projects are delivered profitably, on budget, and in accordance with contractual obligations, while managing risk and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

Manage and control all commercial aspects of projects, ensuring financial targets and margins are achieved.
Prepare and manage cost plans, budgets, cash flow forecasts, and value engineering exercises.
Produce monthly cost/value reconciliation (CVR) reports and present commercial performance updates.
Identify, value, and negotiate variations, claims, and changes to scope.
Ensure timely submission of applications for payment and management of client valuations.

Experience

Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5-10 years' experience in a commercial role within the construction industry.
Strong understanding of construction contracts (JCT, NEC, or equivalent).
Proven track record in managing the commercial performance of medium to large-scale projects.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and financial management skills.
