Commercial Litigation Solicitor (2+ PQE)
Location: Liverpool (Hybrid - 4 days office / 1 day remote)
Salary: £48,000 - £56,000 DOE
Full Time Permanent

Simpson Judge Legal are working with a well established and highly regarded commercial law firm in Liverpool, who are looking to appoint a Commercial Litigation Solicitor (2+ PQE) to join their growing Dispute Resolution team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a partner led team handling high quality, complex litigation, offering strong career progression and early responsibility.

The Role

You will join a busy and experienced disputes team, working closely with senior lawyers while also managing your own caseload.

The role offers exposure to a wide range of high value and business critical disputes, acting for a diverse client base including SMEs, corporates, directors, shareholders, landlords and investors.

You will be involved in:

• Managing a varied caseload of commercial litigation matters from instruction through to resolution/trial
• Drafting pre action correspondence, pleadings and court documents
• Advising clients on strategy, risk, costs and commercial outcomes
• Handling disclosure, witness statements and expert evidence
• Attending hearings, mediations and settlement meetings
• Supporting on complex, high value disputes alongside partners
• Maintaining strong client relationships and delivering commercially focused advice
• Supporting business development and networking activity

The caseload is broad and will include:

• Contractual disputes
• Debt recovery
• Shareholder and director disputes
• Professional negligence
• Property litigation (including landlord & tenant disputes)
• Injunctions
• Insolvency related disputes
• Contentious probate

The firm is looking for a driven and commercially minded solicitor who is keen to take the next step in their career.

• Qualified Solicitor with 2+ years PQE in Commercial Litigation/Dispute Resolution
• Strong working knowledge of CPR and litigation procedures
• Experience managing files with appropriate supervision
• Confident drafting and advising on complex matters
• Excellent communication and client facing skills
• Commercially aware with a proactive approach
• Strong organisation and ability to manage competing deadlines
