Commercial Legal Counsel - Engineering Group (4 or 5 days per week)
Our client is a large multinational engineering services group operating on a global basis.
As the business continues expanding into new markets, its legal team plays a central role in supporting that growth.
Key points:- Min. 5+ years PQE
- Construction experience (either contentious or non-contentious) is required
- Reporting to the Group General Counsel
- The role is very broad in nature (construction law work is just one part)

This is a genuine opportunity for either a first move in-house from private practice, or an in-house lawyer looking to broaden their remit and gain international exposure. You will get hands-on experience across construction, corporate, commercial, disputes and compliance work, supporting a large multinational organisation as it expands into new jurisdictions.
Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day construction, corporate and commercial legal advice across the group
- Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial and corporate agreements, including on new country set-up, M&A and corporate restructurings
- Advise on data protection, corporate governance and regulatory compliance matters
- Support employment law and employee relations issues as they arise
- Manage and support disputes including litigation, arbitration, mediation and settlement negotiations
- Draft and negotiate construction-related documents such as main contracts, sub-contracts, bonds, parent company guarantees and novation agreements
- Contribute to legal processes, contract templates, playbooks and governance frameworks
- Qualified Solicitor in Ireland, ideally 5+ years PQE
- Experience gained in a mid-sized or large law firm and/or an in-house legal environment
- Construction law experience (contentious or non-contentious) and/or general commercial contracts experience
