Commercial Finance Manager - Remote Working

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Finance Manager to join our UK-based finance team. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial excellence across the Group. While our day-to-day finance operations are outsourced and based overseas, this UK-based role will act as a key partner to the CFO, supporting both strategic and operational finance initiatives.

This is a hybrid role that blends core finance responsibilities with commercial analysis. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the business to provide insights, ensure financial accuracy, and support decision-making in a fast-paced, dynamic sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with both finance and non-finance stakeholders to support commercial decision-making and manage financial risks.
  • Take ownership and maintain the Group's financial model, ensuring accuracy, regular updates, and alignment with business performance and profitability goals.
  • Enhance month-end reporting processes, lead business reviews, and manage budgets, forecasts, and weekly performance analysis.
  • Deliver insightful financial reports, cash flow analysis, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Oversee ledger accuracy and maintain a robust balance sheet review process.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships across the business as a key finance partner.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal financial policies.
  • Lead and support ad hoc financial projects as required.

Key Requirements

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent), with hands-on experience in management accounting, financial reporting, and FP&A.
  • Proven experience in a multi-site retail, hospitality, or FMCG-style environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical mindset.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with non-finance teams.
  • Clear and confident communicator, capable of presenting complex financial data in a meaningful way.
  • Proficiency in Xero, Datarails, Roller, or reporting tools such as Power BI is preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills are essential.
  • Experience working with outsourced finance teams is desirable.

Package

Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Fully remote, with regular weekly meetings with the CFO in London or Milton Keynes, and site visits as appropriate.
