Job Description

A Leading Regulated Industry Organisation is looking for a Commercial Lead to join their major capital projects team based in London.

The main objective of the role is to manage current and build future capacity and capability for a pipeline of major capital project work.

Key duties will include:

  • Oversee all commercial and post contract management activities for three major infrastructure projects.
  • Lead a large team of commercial and contract management professionals.
  • Lead post contract performance and KPI reporting for live projects.
  • Lead stakeholder management with the executive team, regulated partners and consultancies.
  • Part of the SLT, manage governance and present at board level.

Further Details

Managing three major infrastructure projects based in the southeast, worth many billions.

Managing a wide variety NEC4 contracts, including Professional Service Contracts (PSC) and Engineering & Construction Contracts (ECC).

Lead and develop a medium sized commercial team, including 3 direct reports.

Candidate Requirements

You'll have at least 10 years experience working in the public sector, regulated industry or for a cost consultancy, with experience of delivering major projects.

You'll have many years experience commercially managing NEC contracts, with a strong understanding of managing contract risks and disputes.

You'll be working as a Commercial Manager / Managing Quantity Surveyor or as a Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for progression, with strong experience of managing medium sized commercial teams.

To be successful in this position you will have strong gravitas, leadership and presenting skills to ensure you operate at the appropriate level when developing your team and contributing to senior leadership meetings.
