Venn Group is currently recruiting for a Commercial Lawyer to join a Midlands-based local authority on a fully remote basis. This position is to cover maternity leave for an initial period of 9-12 months.

The successful candidate will be expected to advise on a range of commercial matters including:

• Drafting and negotiating contracts

• Advising on public procurement and commissioning

• Supporting commercial projects and partnerships

Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive in England and Wales

• Experience in commercial law, ideally within local government or the wider public sector

• Comfortable working independently and remotely

• Able to start within the next few weeks
