We are seeking a Commercial Business Partner to join a fast-growing technology business based in Exeter. This hybrid role combines commercial insight, financial oversight, and performance management to help drive revenue growth and support strategic decision-making.

About the Role:

The Commercial Business Partner will act as a key business partner to Sales and Finance teams, ensuring revenue growth is aligned with strategy and risk is managed effectively. You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to shape pricing strategies, monitor margins, deliver reporting and analytics, and drive process improvements. This role also involves ownership of CRM governance and sales process discipline to ensure accurate customer and pipeline data.

This is a full time hybrid position (2-3 days per week in the Exeter area, the rest from home).

Responsibilities of the Commercial Business Partner:
  • Lead and improve sales forecasting, reporting, and pipeline analysis
  • Monitor pricing, margins, and profitability, providing actionable insights
  • Oversee CRM process governance and data quality
  • Support contract reviews, deal structures, and commercial governance
  • Produce dashboards and reports for senior leadership on sales performance
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting, analytics, and processes
  • Administer sales incentive and commission plans
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure commercial alignment
Requirements of the Commercial Business Partner:
  • Proven experience in Sales Finance, Commercial Finance, Sales Operations, or similar, ideally within a SaaS, subscription, or technology environment
  • Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and data analysis skills (advanced Excel essential)
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical, detail oriented, proactive, and commercially minded
