About the role

Due to continued project growth, we are looking to appoint a Commercial Assistant to support the Commercial Team with day-to-day administration and commercial coordination activities.

With project turnover expected to increase substantially and change management activity continuing at pace, this role will play a key part in reducing the administrative burden on the commercial function.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career within commercial administration and construction support within a major infrastructure environment.

What you'll be doing
  • Support the Commercial Team with day-to-day administrative activities.
  • Assist with change management administration and commercial record keeping.
  • Maintain and organise commercial documentation, cost records and project data.
  • Support subcontractor administration processes and document control activities.
  • Record and track project progress information and commercial updates.
  • Assist with collation of cost and value information.
  • Use company ERP systems and support digital/LEAN ways of working.
  • Support procurement activities including gathering and recording supplier information.
  • Work collaboratively with commercial, project and delivery teams to ensure accurate and timely administration support.
Who we're looking for
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and team working abilities.
  • Comfortable managing data, documentation and administrative tasks.
  • Competent using Microsoft Office and digital systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Valid UK Drivers License due to requirements to visit site (car provided)
Desirable
  • Previous administration or commercial support experience.
  • Exposure to construction, engineering or infrastructure environments.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems or commercial processes.
