Commercial & Procurement Specialist | SC Cleared

Salary: £40,000 - £49,500
Location: Bristol (Hybrid - 2 days per week onsite)
Security Clearance: Active SC clearance required

A consulting organisation is seeking a Commercial & Procurement Specialist to support delivery across complex programmes within the defence and public sector environment. Working as part of multidisciplinary delivery teams, you will help shape and deliver procurement and commercial strategies across large-scale projects involving equipment, digital services, infrastructure and professional services.

This role offers strong exposure to complex government procurement environments and the opportunity to develop consulting capability while working alongside experienced commercial specialists.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of major procurement activities, including market engagement, tender processes and evaluations.
• Contribute to the development of procurement and commercial strategies for complex programmes.
• Assist with supplier engagement, bid evaluation and contract negotiations.
• Support the development of commercial agreements and contracting approaches.
• Contribute to the transition and management of frameworks and contracts.
• Provide commercial support across complex project and programme environments.

Skills & Experience

• Active SC clearance (mandatory).
• Experience in procurement, commercial management or sourcing environments.
• Understanding of the end-to-end procurement life cycle.
• Exposure to complex procurements within government, defence, infrastructure or regulated sectors.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Knowledge of NEC contract forms and/or professional qualifications such as MCIPS or MRICS (desirable).
