The Role

The Commercial Account Manager is fundamental in achieving company growth and managing the business with leading brands that impact the lives of millions of consumers all over the globe.


Medical Brands' success relies heavily on the close cooperation with our 30+ global clients. The Commercial Account Manager's role is to manage commercial operations and develop the international pipeline through new licensing and distribution opportunities. This includes coordinating numerous activities from market analysis through to product launch and post market evaluation to ensure customers and end consumers are receiving the highest quality product proposition. Within the small organisation, this person plays a major role in aligning various departments toward the company goals.


A successful commercial strategy and execution will result in new strategic partners, geographic expansion, new product development opportunities, high customer satisfaction and double digit revenue growth among others.

Responsibilities

  • Establish commercial strategy and manage the activities to achieve ambitious growth targets.
  • Manage client accounts to ensure operational activities are executed and strategic targets are achieved in compliance with forecasts and agreements.
  • Develop client business through new product developments, line extensions, and market launches.
  • Evaluate the market and identify business opportunities to build the innovation pipeline and support the new product development process.
  • Prospect new clients by proactively identifying and qualifying international targets and developing business plans.
  • Build partnerships with new prospects and supervise professional relationships through strategic action plans.
  • Structure and negotiate commercial agreements for licensing, distribution and development opportunities.
  • Ensure new product launches are managed and all launch dates are achieved.
  • Report progress to the management team; including, but not limited to analysis of sales, forecasts, and client profitability.
  • Represent the company at conferences and networking events to build further partnerships and identify opportunities.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams in marketing, R&D, supply, regulatory and quality.

Preferred Experience

  • 8 years experience in sales/marketing within the consumer healthcare, pharmaceutical or personal care industry
  • International experience in consumer healthcare and understanding of market dynamics
  • Preferably MBA or MSc degree
  • Sales and/or marketing training
