CY Partners is excited to represent a leading Polymer manufacturer. We are seeking a highly skilled Coating Specialist to join their New Product Development team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about coating technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimise coating formulations and techniques, including excimer, UV and 2K lacquers.
• Design and implement novel water-based inks and primers, enhancing product performance and sustainability.
• Serve as a specialist in embossing techniques to create innovative textures and patterns.
• Introduce new features to surfaces, improving functionality and aligning with market trends.
• Develop and evaluate new products for various applications, ensuring swift market implementation.
• Conduct laboratory experiments to assess the properties and characteristics of films and surface coatings.
• Provide technical support to production personnel to resolve quality issues related to new and existing products.
• Assist in evaluating raw materials, ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Candidate Requirements:

• Degree (BSc, MSc, PhD) in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or Material Science is essential.
• Hands-on experience in the coating industry.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical information effectively.
• Knowledge of new product development, process safety, and improvement methodologies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team; self-motivated and proactive.
