We are recruiting an experienced Supply Chain Manager / CMO Relationship Manager for a leading life sciences organisation based in Dublin (Citywest). This role focuses on external manufacturing, supplier management, and end-to-end supply chain performance within a regulated GMP environment. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of contract manufacturing organisations (CMOs) and external suppliers, ensuring supply continuity, service level performance, and operational excellence. This is a hybrid role (3 days onsite in Dublin) with strong cross functional exposure across Quality, Regulatory, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Finance.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop a Supply Chain team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Manage CMO / external manufacturing relationships, ensuring performance, compliance, and supply continuity
- Oversee supplier performance management, including KPIs, OTIF (On Time In Full), and service level agreements
- Act as key interface between external manufacturers and internal stakeholders
- Lead supply chain governance, escalation management, and risk mitigation processes
- Drive end-to-end supply chain performance improvement and operational excellence initiatives
- Support and lead New Product Introduction (NPI), technical transfers, and product launches
- Own change control processes across external manufacturing partners in compliance with GMP requirements
- Ensure robust supply chain data governance, reporting, and audit readiness
- Lead cross functional supply chain planning and governance forums
- Drive continuous improvement through Lean / Six Sigma and process optimisation initiatives
- 5+ years' experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, biotech, or broader life sciences supply chain
- Proven experience in CMO management, external manufacturing, or supplier relationship management (SRM)
- Strong people management experience (5+ direct reports preferred)
- Experience working in GMP regulated manufacturing environments
- Strong background in supplier performance management (OTIF, KPIs, service levels)
- Experience in NPI, technical transfer, or change control processes
- Excellent cross functional stakeholder management and leadership capability
- Proven ability to manage supply chain risk, disruptions, and escalation scenarios
