Job responsibilities

We are looking for a confident Clinical Team Leader (CTL) who can inspire, support, and oversee the delivery of the very best care.

You'll be working 42 hours a week (Days, Nights, and Weekends) at Cygnet Hospital Sherwood.

Cygnet Hospital Sherwood is our state-of-the-art PICU and Acute hospital for men in Nottinghamshire. Fern Ward, the hospital's PICU for men, is now open and accepting referrals.

The service features three wards, including a 12-bed PICU ward and two 16-bed acute wards.

Cygnet Hospital Sherwood has a full multidisciplinary team (MDT) and supports the acute needs of adults requiring rapid access to mental health services, including those who may need an intensive care environment.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading regular care audits
  • Providing clinical leadership, coaching, and mentoring for service development
  • Maintaining excellence through clinical practice development and quality improvement
  • Supporting the annual plan for Quality and Compliance
  • Participating in clinical committees relevant to your role
  • Attending training and engaging in CPD to enhance knowledge and promote nursing
  • Ensuring care plans are complete and maintained under NMC guidelines
  • Administering medicines within healthcare procedures and guidelines

You are:
  • An experienced RMN or RNLD with a current Pin Number
  • Having at least two years of experience
  • Capable of maintaining documentation, undertaking audits, and demonstrating integrity
  • Knowledgeable about the latest nursing practices
  • Committed to patient recovery, monitoring, managing, and reducing risk
  • Compassionate, resilient, and dedicated to empowering service users
  • Interested in leadership, research, and assessment
