Salary: €72119 - €83689

TTM Healthcare Solutions are delighted to be recruiting for a Clinical Specialist Speech and Language Therapist in Neurology for a leading HSE hospital based in West Dublin. This is a Full Time Permanent HSE contract. International applicants are welcome to apply but must have extensive experience in the area of neurology.

The Clinical Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) will possess and develop highly specialist knowledge in the area of neurology. They will provide expert assessment, diagnosis and management of adults with communication and swallowing disorders under the care of the inpatient and outpatient Neurology service. Collaboration with SLT colleagues, and multidisciplinary colleagues of the neurology team, will support the coordination, development and delivery of the service to meet the needs of the service user group and the objectives of the Hospital.

The role leads evidence-based practice, supports multidisciplinary decision-making, promotes patient safety, facilitates rehabilitation, and contributes to service development, education, innovation, quality improvement, research and clinical governance.

Key Requirements
  • CORU registration
  • 5 years post qualification experience
  • 3 years experience in progressive and acute adult neurology - to include working in an adult acute or rehabilitation hospital setting
  • Post-graduate certification and full competence in the management of adult eating, drinking and swallowing disorders (mandatory)
  • Full post graduate competence and proven experience in adult videofluoroscopy and/or as a FEES endoscopist (mandatory)
  • Demonstrate recent evidence of formal continuing professional development relevant to adult neurology in the form of post-graduate qualifications or relevant courses.
