Job Description

Role: Clinical Outcomes Research Scientist

Location: Welwyn Garden City (Hybrid 2 days per week in the office)

Hours: Full time

Pay: £55.96 - £67.16 (PAYE) per hour OR £75 - £90 (UMB / LTD) per hour

Contract: Contract until the end of 2026 (Outside IR35)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Outcomes Research Scientist to join one of our longstanding clients, a global organisation operating within the pharmaceutical and clinical research sector, based in Welwyn Garden City.

This role sits within a specialist data science and patient outcomes team, supporting the development and delivery of patient centered measurement strategies across the drug development lifecycle.

The Requirements:

  • MSc in Public Health Psychology or related discipline PhD preferred
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in outcomes research or patient centered research
  • Experience within a pharmaceutical company or consultancy environment
  • Strong understanding of clinical outcome assessments and measurement strategies
  • Experience supporting clinical trial delivery and patient focused research
  • Ability to work cross functionally with global teams

The Role:

  • Develop and implement clinical and patient centered measurement strategies across development programmes
  • Collaborate with study teams and global stakeholders across the drug development lifecycle
  • Support implementation of electronic clinical outcome assessments including validation and testing
  • Provide subject matter expertise across areas such as digital strategy and patient engagement
  • Assess and support development of new measurement tools to capture patient experience
  • Contribute to study start up monitoring and close out activities
  • Work closely with data science and operational teams to support project delivery
