Job Overview

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday 0800 to 1600.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Acute Pain Service. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced nurses at Band 5 and Band 6 level. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a multidisciplinary team with a strong focus on safety, quality improvement, and patient centred care.

The successful applicant will work as part of a team of established Nurse Specialists within NHSGGC. Flexibility is essential, as you will be expected to support the wider team and cross site when service needs dictate. We are seeking a motivated nurse with a passion for pain management. Excellent communication and team working skills are essential, as the role involves addressing the complex needs of patients experiencing acute pain.

  • Educated to degree level
  • Willing to undertake Non Medical Prescribing at SCQF Level 11
