At St Michaels Hospice, we are committed to providing the highest quality of care to our patients and their families. This is an exciting opportunity to join our integrated community nursing team and be part of our evolving community model, providing advice and support to patients in their own homes. Full time hours are available for a permanent CNS post.

Main duties of the job

You will join a supportive, patient focused team dedicated to making a meaningful difference for the people of Hastings & Rother. We are looking for someone passionate about palliative care with transferable nursing skills and experience. You will build a natural and trusted rapport with patients and families, providing compassionate care and support. Our ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, sound judgement, and a real commitment to patient centred interdisciplinary team working. You will openly and honestly support people with sensitive topics including loss, grief and dying. Palliative care experience is desirable but not essential if you have transferable experience.

St Michaels Hospice supports and enables the community of Hastings and Rother to live well with dying, death and loss. Our services are provided via in patient beds and at home and we also offer wellbeing support, both out patient and virtual.
