Contract Type: Permanent
Contract Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary Scale: €58,245 to €69,260 pro rata per annum.
Annual Leave Entitlement: 34-37 days per annum (proportionally less for less than 12 months service).
Overview of the PostThe Respite Services Coordinator/Person In Charge (PIC) will manage Enable Ireland's Ard na Mara Respite Services for adults in Ladysbridge, East Cork. The role includes responsibility for the residential respite service, staff management, and delivery of high standard residential, alternative respite, and individualised care packages.
The PIC will ensure compliance with HIQA standards, implement policies and procedures, partner with service owners and families, manage resources, deliver safe and effective services, develop staff, set and monitor standards, facilitate communication, and lead risk, safeguarding and health and safety management across adult respite and day services.
Qualifications and Experience- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) as a Registered Nurse.
- Registered in the relevant division of the NMBI register.
- Recognised validated university degree or equivalent in nursing.
- Minimum of 5 years post qualification full time experience.
- Recognised management qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years experience working at a senior or supervisory level.
- Minimum of 3 years experience working with children or adults with disabilities (physical disability, autism, learning disability) and their families.
- Experience in staff supervision, training and development.
- Excellent knowledge of HIQA Guidance and inspection requirements.
- Eligibility to work in the State.
- Maintain live annual registration on the relevant division of the NMBI register.
- Good knowledge of the disability sector.
