Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2) - 10a Middlethird Specific Purpose Contract from December 2026

We are dedicated to supporting individuals to enjoy experiences, opportunities, and lifestyles like their peers through individualised, inclusive supports.

A vacancy exists for a full-time Specific Purpose Contract Clinical Nurse Manager 2 in 10a Middlethird.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates. This role requires a strong ability to lead a team, to problem solve, and to work on one's own initiative.

• Hold an RNID qualification and be currently registered and approved by the NMBI. Applicants from other nursing disciplines with a minimum of 5 years' experience in the field of intellectual disability may also apply.
• Hold a recognised accredited management qualification.
• Have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a management or supervisory role within health or social care, with responsibility for managing budgets and resources.
• Demonstrate experience in staff support, leading teams, resource management, and performing administrative duties.
• Be knowledgeable of the Health Act 2007 and have experience and understanding of HIQA Regulations (2013).
• Have experience managing individuals with diabetes, cardiac, GI, and neurological health needs.
• Possess a working knowledge of the Safeguarding Vulnerable Persons at Risk of Abuse Policy.
• Be committed to delivering a quality, individualised, person-centred service.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork and leadership skills.
• Have experience in key working.

Person in Charge (PIC) Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will also undertake Person in Charge (PIC) duties as outlined under the Health Act 2007 and relevant HIQA regulations, ensuring effective governance, oversight, and operational management of the designated centre. The CNM2 will be responsible for:

• Leading the implementation and maintenance of high-quality care standards in line with HIQA regulations.
• Ensuring robust risk management, incident reporting, and safeguarding procedures.
• Supporting staff development, compliance monitoring, and continuous quality improvement.
• Driving person-centred planning, promoting autonomy and social inclusion for all residents.

Salary Scale:

Successful candidates will be paid in line with the revised consolidated HSE Clinical Nurse Manager 2 Scale.

Salary Scale: The successful candidate will be paid in line with the June 2026 HSE revised consolidated Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2) pay scale (point 1; €62,699 - point 11; €79,227 LSIs per annum based on working a 37.5-hour week). Should you have no prior public sector experience you will be placed on point 1 of the pay-scale above.
