An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Negligence Senior Solicitor to join a well-established law firm with a strong reputation in healthcare litigation in Liverpool. Due to continued growth, the firm is seeking an experienced Clinical Negligence Senior Solicitor to join its specialist healthcare litigation team in Liverpool, acting for major healthcare organisations and public sector bodies on complex, high-value defendant clinical negligence matters.
You will manage your own caseload, working closely with senior lawyers and healthcare professionals. The role offers exposure to technically challenging work, strong career progression and involvement in client engagement and business development activity.
The Role- Manage a caseload of defendant clinical negligence claims, including pre litigated and litigated matters
- Act on behalf of healthcare organisations and public sector bodies
- Conduct detailed investigations to assess liability and quantum
- Draft key legal documents including pleadings, reports and correspondence
- Liaise with clients, claimants, counsel, experts and other stakeholders
- Maintain accurate case records, key dates and action plans
- Contribute to client development, networking and training initiatives
- Ensure compliance with client protocols, regulatory requirements and internal procedures
- Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years PQE in clinical negligence or healthcare litigation
- Experience handling defendant clinical negligence claims (claimant experience also considered)
- Strong knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules and litigation processes
- Ability to manage a varied caseload of complex and high value matters
- Strong analytical and investigative skills when reviewing medical evidence
- Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with clients, counsel, experts and stakeholders
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Competitive salary up to £80,000 depending on experience
