Clinical Negligence Solicitor - Leeds

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Negligence Solicitor (NQ to Grade C level or equivalent) to join a highly regarded and progressive legal practice in Leeds. The Role

You will join a well-established and respected Clinical Negligence team, known for handling high-quality, complex cases and achieving excellent outcomes for clients. The department is made up of experienced and accredited specialists, offering exposure to technically challenging and rewarding work across all stages of litigation.

Working as part of this collaborative team, you will manage your own caseload under supervision while also supporting senior lawyers on more complex matters. You will be involved in the full litigation lifecycle, from initial instruction through to resolution, gaining invaluable experience and developing your expertise within a forward-thinking environment.

This role also offers the opportunity to mentor junior colleagues and contribute to the continued growth of the team-making it ideal for a Solicitor looking to take the next meaningful step in their career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a clinical negligence caseload from instruction to resolution, with appropriate supervision
  • Support senior lawyers on high-value and complex cases
  • Draft key legal documentation, including letters of claim and instructions to experts
  • Conduct litigation, including issuing and serving proceedings where required
  • Liaise with clients, medical experts and counsel
  • Provide guidance and informal mentoring to junior team members
  • Maintain accurate time recording and meet performance targets
  • Contribute to efficient, proactive and commercially focused case progression

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor (NQ-5 years PQE) or equivalent experience in clinical negligence
  • Proven experience handling clinical negligence or complex personal injury matters
  • Strong drafting, analytical and negotiation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
  • Commercially aware with a client-focused approach
  • Confident communicator and collaborative team player
  • Proficient with case management systems and Microsoft Office
