Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Effectiveness Lead to join our Quality Team at HealthHero on a part-time permanent basis (0.8 FTE, 4 days / week).

This critical role will shape how safe, effective care is delivered across our urgent and integrated care services. Your expertise will help ensure we meet national standards, learn from data insights and continuously improve how we care for patients across.

You'll work to support our Urgent Care services across Bath, Swindon & Wiltshire (BSW) and Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin (STW) localities, helping ensure services meet Schedule 4 quality requirements, national guidance, and regulatory expectations whilst promoting a learning culture focused on improvement.

Please note this role focusses on organisational assurance, standards and continuous improvement and does not involve autonomous clinical practice or prescribing.

About the Role

As our Clinical Effectiveness Lead, you'll be a key member of the Quality Team, providing expert oversight and assurance across clinical effectiveness, NICE compliance, clinical audit, evidence based practice, and leadership across Medicines Management (including controlled drugs) and Infection Prevention & Control (IP&C).

You'll work across services supporting Bath, Swindon & Wiltshire (BSW) and Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin (STW) contracts, helping ensure services meet quality requirements, national guidance, and regulatory expectations.

  • Leading a rolling programme of clinical effectiveness, Medicines Management and IP&C assurance
  • Ensuring services meet Schedule 4 quality requirements, NICE guidance and CQC Fundamental Standards
  • Design and oversee targeted clinical audits, turning insight into practical improvement
  • Understanding national guidance and safety alerts, identifying gaps and supporting improvement and implementation efforts
  • Contributing to commissioner reporting and contractual quality schedules
  • Promoting a positive, learning focused quality culture across services
  • Providing advice and support to clinical and non clinical colleagues

You'll lead audit and assurance activity, work closely with clinical and operational colleagues, providing clear, credible assurance to senior leaders and commissioners.

About You

You'll be a registered healthcare professional (NMC or HCPC) with experience working at a senior or specialist level in clinical governance, quality or service improvement.

  • Strong knowledge of clinical effectiveness, audit and governance
  • Experience implementing and assuring NICE guidance
  • Confidence influencing across professional and organisational boundaries
  • The ability to turn complex guidance into clear, practical assurance
  • Strong written skills and experience producing reports for senior audiences

Experience in urgent or integrated care settings, or working with NHS contractual quality frameworks is desirable.
