Job responsibilities TheJobholder will play an essential role supporting Nursing and Midwifery(including ODP) education by facilitating education, training and practicedevelopment within Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

Thejob holder will support the assessment of the quality of clinical and otherpractice learning environments and implement interventions for improvement.The job holder will support mentors/assessors and clinical professionaldevelopment for preceptorship.

Workin Partnership with Matron, Team Leaders, Senior Sisters/Charge Nurses in thedevelopment of department/ward practice, reflecting LTHT strategic educationand workforce delivery plans.
Contributeto the training needs analysis for individuals and clinical need.
Responsiblefor the direct delivery of clinical education (this will include the teachingand demonstration of a range of clinical skills and medical devices.
Providehigh quality care as an expert practitioner and act as a role model andresource for advice, support and guidance.
Delivercomplex information to patients and staff.
Actin accordance with the relevant professional code i.e. NMC or HCPC
Fulfilthe requirements as directed by the Nursing and Midwifery Council to maintainand revalidate registration.
Ensureand promote the maintenance of a safe, clean and secure working environment.
Assistwith maintenance of accurate training records using LTHT documentation andelectronic staff records (ESR)
Undertakeduties on wards or departments as and when required by service demands orpatient need.
Actin such a way that safeguards the health and wellbeing of children andvulnerable adults at all times. Is familiar with and adheres to, the LTHTsafeguarding policies.
Raiseconcerns with regards to risk, danger, malpractice or wrongdoing by followingthe LTHT Whistleblowing policy and supporting processes.
