Job Description
Leading International law firm is looking to hire a Commercial lawyer with circa 2-3 years PQE to join their Client Contracts Team- this role can be based in Glasgow or Birmingham.
Role Profile:
- Review a range of client-facing commercial contracts and deliver risk-sensitive advice, proportionate to local regulatory, cultural and practice needs.
- Work with and co-ordinate other teams within the business to help deliver timely and practical advice to the firm on a range of contractual issues.
- Supporting with management and co-ordination of client audits.
- Assist with administering an effective global compliance policy to identify and manage client contract risk.
- Help co-ordinate periodic audits and training in relation to client terms compliance.
- Assist with maintaining an accurate and up-to-date client terms portal.
- Helping to maintain and update the firm's own standard terms of business and letters of engagement to manage compliance, legal and commercial risks globally.
- Drafting and maintaining precedents and guidance notes.
- Ad hoc projects.
- Responding to general risk queries from the business.
- Other responsibilities may be added over time as the role develops and as business needs require.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor (2 - 3 years' PQE). Please note that this PQE range has been provided purely as a guide and we are open to considering applications from candidates who fall outside of this range but can demonstrate valuable commercial contracts and/or risk and compliance experience.
- Solid commercial contract experience.
- Experience working within a risk and compliance function would be beneficial but is not essential.
