A unique opportunity within Practice

If you enjoy working in accountancy practice but are looking for something more modern, collaborative and genuinely advisory-focused, this could be an excellent next step.

We are partnering on a retained basis with a growing start-up accountancy firm that focuses purely on accounts, tax and advisory work. They deliberately don't offer bookkeeping, payroll or VAT services in-house, allowing their team to concentrate on high-quality technical delivery while gaining early exposure to advisory and meaningful client relationships.

You'll be joining at an exciting stage of growth, working closely with the founders and playing a real part in shaping how the firm develops as it scales.

The role

You'll take ownership of client work from trial balance through to completed accounts and tax returns, while developing broader commercial and advisory exposure.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare FRS 105 and FRS 102 statutory accounts
• Produce corporation tax computations and returns
• Prepare personal tax returns
• Maintain clear, review-ready working papers and workflows
• Support client queries and information requests
• Assist with advisory projects and client meetings
• Contribute ideas to improve processes as the firm grows

About you

• Qualifications flexible: QBE, part-qualified or ACA/ACCA.
• 2-5+ years' experience within accountancy practice
• Confident preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax
• Familiar with FRS 105/102 and review-ready standards
• Organised, proactive and client-focused
• Enjoys a growing, collaborative environment
