The Company
Our client is a well-established and growing property management business with an excellent reputation for delivering outstanding service to its clients. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Client Accountant to join their finance team.
The Role
Working within a busy property finance department, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of a portfolio of client properties, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing monthly and quarterly client financial reports.
- Producing annual service charge accounts and budgets.
- Reconciling client and service charge bank accounts.
- Managing client monies in accordance with RICS regulations.
- Preparing rent and service charge reconciliations.
- Processing tenant receipts, payments and supplier invoices.
- Producing cash flow forecasts and monitoring expenditure.
- Liaising with Property Managers, landlords, tenants and external auditors.
- Assisting with year-end accounts and audit requirements.
- Investigating and resolving accounting queries.
- Ensuring all financial records are accurate and maintained to a high standard.
- Supporting continuous improvements to finance processes and controls.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a Client Accountant, Property Accountant or Service Charge Accountant.
- Good knowledge of client accounting within the property sector.
- Experience preparing service charge accounts.
- Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
- Excellent Excel skills and experience using property accounting software.
- AAT qualified or studying ACCA/CIMA, or qualified by experience.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
