Job Description

Responsibilities- Delivering Clerk of Works services at all stages of a variety of new build, capital and cyclical projects
- Ensuring compliance of works with relevant specifications and legislation
- Monitoring quality control and workmanship
- Carrying out regular inspections of work in progress to ensure that:
- The contractor executes works in accordance with the agreed contract
- Methods of construction are satisfactory
- Appropriate tenant liaison is in place
- Progress is monitored and reported appropriately
- Liaising with contractors and maintaining contract documentation, including instruction and advice note issues
- Qualification in construction, civil engineering or a related field at HNC level, SCQF Level 7 or above
- Experience in housing repair or maintenance
- Knowledge of Scottish Building Technical Standards, NHBC, SHQS and EESSH requirements
An awareness of the challenges housing associations are currently facing would be helpful, but is not necessary.

A valid, in-date driving licence and access to a car insured for business will also be required.
