Cleansing Operative -Manual Labour

Temporary Contract - Immediate Start

Carry out a full range of duties within the general cleansing service to include litter picking, manual sweeping and collection, removal and disposal of litter/dirt/leaves etc. from public places such as roads, pavements and open spaces.

Carry out a full range of duties within the general refuse collection service to include:

collection / removal of household and commercial waste, bulky amenity collections, removal of illegal indiscriminate dumping waste, collection / disposal of dead and fallen animals, removal of ice / snow and spreading of salt as required.

Ensure all duties/day's tasks are carried out according to schedules and at appropriate times.

The services falling within the responsibility of this post are as follows:

• Refuse Street Cleansing

It is essential that applicants have a minimum of:

Experience:

One years' previous employment experience in performing manual work.

Previous employment experience in Waste Collection/ Street Cleansing or relevant related field.

Knowledge of waste reception, removal, storage and sorting.

Knowledge of health and safety guidelines.

Start Date: 9 November to 31 Jan 27

End Date for CVs: 4 Novemeber 26

Location: Altona Industrial Estate Lisburn

Hours: 37 hours per week over 6 days. 5 out of six to work.

Rate of pay: £13.69 per hour plus accrued holiday pay
