About The Role:As a Cleaning Team Leader, you'll lead the day-to-day delivery of cleaning services for a leading UK broadcasting company, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, presentation and customer service are maintained.
You'll supervise the cleaning team, manage workloads, rotas, stock and equipment, and ensure services are delivered safely and in line with contractual requirements.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support the cleaning team to ensure services are delivered to agreed standards and specifications.
- Allocate workloads and resources effectively, ensuring cleaning schedules and rotas are maintained.
- Respond promptly to service issues and reactive cleaning requests, following the appropriate helpdesk processes.
- Ensure all activities comply with OCS and client Health & Safety requirements, including COSHH, risk assessments, method statements and PPE.
- Complete regular cleaning audits and ensure any corrective actions are addressed promptly.
- Manage cleaning stock, consumables, equipment and machinery, ensuring appropriate levels are maintained and equipment remains safe and operational.
- Deliver regular team briefings and toolbox talks, maintaining appropriate attendance and training records.
- Support colleagues with mandatory and online training, identifying any additional development requirements.
- Authorise and process timesheets accurately and within required deadlines.
- Promote a positive, professional and customer-focused working environment across the team.
- Previous experience supervising or leading a cleaning or facilities team is essential.
- Good knowledge of professional cleaning methods, standards and practices.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety and COSHH requirements.
- Confident managing and motivating teams to deliver high standards of service.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable using basic IT systems and completing administrative tasks.
- Able to understand and follow written procedures, instructions and training materials.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and respond effectively to changing operational requirements.
- Professional and presentable when dealing with customers and stakeholders.
You'll be a confident and approachable team leader with a hands-on attitude and a strong focus on delivering excellent service. You'll communicate effectively with colleagues, customers and stakeholders and take pride in maintaining high standards across the site.
