Cleaning Operative, Temporary Accommodation Team

Location: Rotherham
Salary: £13.45 per hour (pay award pending)
Contractual hours: 18.75 per week (52 week contract). Basis: Part time.
Job descriptionWe are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Cleaning Operative for the Temporary Accommodation Team to join our friendly and dedicated Facilities Services team based at Riverside House, Rotherham, S60 1AE to support the delivery of cleaning services across Rotherham.
The role involves carrying out a range of cleaning activities including standard cleans, enhanced deep cleans, revisit/freshen up cleans, and undertaking needle sweeps across dispersed properties. Duties will include deep cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, living areas and bedrooms to a high standard, alongside identifying and reporting any maintenance or health & safety concerns.
Working Hours- Monday to Wednesday
- 8:00 am - 2:15 pm (6.25 hours per day)
- Take pride in their work and attention to detail
- Can work independently across multiple locations
- Are flexible and able to respond to varying workloads
- Pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness
- Awareness of health and safety standards
- Are comfortable working in environments that may present higher risks (full training provided)
- Deliver high quality cleaning in line with service specifications
- Undertake deep cleaning, sanitisation, and needle sweeps where required
- Remove waste and prepare properties for incoming residents
- Act as the "eyes and ears" on site by reporting defects such as damp, damage or safety hazards
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures, including COSHH regulations
You will be required to drive a manual Council fleet vehicle on a daily basis, for which you will need to undertake a driver assessment and provide a full Driving Licence at the interview stage.
