Cleaning Operative

This is a 6 month- Fixed term contract

Location: Oak Tree Meadow, Blackworthy Road, Castle Cary, BA7 7PH

Hours: 37.5 Hours Per Week

Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday 09:00-17:00

Rate of Pay: £13.08 Per Hour + Sodexo Rewards And Benefits

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Cleaning Operative to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the site, supporting both operational efficiency and a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine cleaning and housekeeping duties in line with cleaning schedules and standard operating procedures
• Clean meeting rooms, office spaces, manufacturing areas, and welfare facilities using appropriate equipment and cleaning materials
• Ensure all cleaning schedules are completed accurately and on time
• Remove waste daily and dispose of it according to the correct waste streams
• Maintain cleaning storage areas, ensuring they are tidy and well stocked
• Work collaboratively with team members and follow direction from supervisors and management
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper use of equipment and personal protective equipment
• Report hazards, incidents, or near misses promptly

• Follow all COSHH and Health & Safety guidelines
• Use all cleaning materials and equipment safely and in accordance with instructions
• Take responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others
